In January 2025, it was announced that the Martin Currie brand will retire on 30 September 2025, with the majority of its business aligning under ClearBridge Investments. In the new structure, all existing products and investment teams will maintain their autonomy and integrity, enabling them to achieve greater scale and access to broader resources that benefit clients.

With their respective rich histories and track records within the asset management industry, ClearBridge and Martin Currie’s businesses are highly complementary in terms of investment approach, product offerings, and cultural fit. ClearBridge operates with scale globally and has a successful track record of aligning other businesses under its own. Both groups share a clear commitment to sustainability and a long-standing drive to bring about positive change in public equities through active ownership.

As part of this evolution, ClearBridge, already part of Franklin Templeton, has aligned its Australian wholesale distribution efforts with Franklin Templeton’s extensive local platform. This change reflects a shared commitment to delivering a more integrated, efficient, and client-centric experience to both advisers and their investors.
